I kept meaning to oil my chain, and putting it off and going slower and slower on the bike. Didn't realize my tire pressure was also dropping. Filled them today and I was really zooming. I'll lube the chain tomorrow and start going even faster. If I'm alive on Thursday, I'll fix my brakes.

yeah, I had a similar lesson in rolling resistance last week. I've since added a gauge to my bike bag, and will be adding a pump to replace the one that fell off gods-know-where last year.
